Mangrove (Black Charcoal)

Black charcoal involves carbonization at a temperature of 400℃ in the traditional furnace. Then, the temperature is raised to around 700℃ to refine the charcoal, which is sufficiently cooled while the furnace entrance, vent, and exhaust outlet are closed before it is delivered as a finished product. In South Korea, it is commonly called geomtan (black charcoal). The mangrove charcoal supplied by BJ Trading is manufactured with 100% Indonesian mangrove. As it is perfect for pork grilling with its excellent scent and adequate calorie of 6,400Kcal/1h, it is favored by charcoal-grilled pork diners like Seungil Restaurant and Subuk Diner. The product is frequently used for Damyang-style grilled pork ribs.
